Staying At

Edisford Bridge Farm

Open 7th March to 6th January, Edisford Bridge Farm is the ideal spot from which to explore the Forest of Bowland, the market town of Clitheroe and the many spectacular country walks including, the J R R Tolkien circular walk meandering through some of his favourite scenery. Here Tolkien is as famous for his love of the “circular” walk as he is for his Lord of The Rings!

Edisford Bridge Farm itself is set amidst this beautiful scenery and we offer spacious pitches for your tent or tourer. This is a quiet site and we welcome both children and dogs. There are shower and toilet facilities and electricity hook ups are available if required. On behalf of your fellow guests we reasonably request a minimum of noise level between the hours of 11.00pm and 8.00am but all our regulations are common sense really, the emphasis being that everyone should get maximum enjoyment as the result of their stay.

Each season we continue to invest in our family business, developing the site and making changes to always improve it, giving our customers a more satisfied visit year on year

Our Beautiful Surroundings

To add to your enjoyment, the nearby Edisford Bridge public house serves excellent food, there is a super indoor swimming pool 500 yards walk away and a leisurely stroll along the banks of the River Ribble is even closer. Walking of course is very popular and we are happy to offer suggestions geared to your energy levels. The Edisford Bridge to Great Mitton circular walk, for instance, takes around three hours and conveniently starts and finishes at the public house! But you can plan your own walks to include Barley, Brock Valley Nature Trail, Gisburn Circular Walk and various reservoir walks.

Really the list is endless but, naturally, you are requested to adopt the sensible requests of the countryside:

  • Keep dogs under control
  • Close gates as you go through them
  • Tread carefully during the wild birds’ nesting seasons

Just by adhering to some very simple codes of practice both the safety of the wildlife and the enjoyment of everyone is assured. If this is your first visit, though, please just contact us, ask any questions you wish and then we will look forward to welcoming you to Edisford Bridge Farm.
